  Very convenient location, especially returning to I-95/495 N. Numerous official documents are available for a reasonable fee. I waited about 20 minutes to see a desk clerk. She was pleasant and focused on my transaction. Here's a big part of the 5-star rating- while the system was searching for my record, one person, after another, after another constantly monitored the progress. I was never unattended! In countless transactions over many years, I cannot remember a team so focused on delivering a product or service as quickly as humanly possible!

  I thought the staff was actually very pleasant (make sure you read and bring what you need on the DMV's website)... However I would agree it may be the worst DMV. They do have Saturday hours (which is Nice!) but I would advise to avoid this place Saturday at all costs. Parking is quite terrible when the place is busy. I had all paperwork and the completed form for a simple name change due to marriage. (Note - name changes go to the same line as license renewals (re-tests)). I arrived at 8:07 and between the time it took to find parking (why do they have so many reserves and no parking spaces?) and the first line outside to the waiting inside, I wasn't out of there until 10:44. I was told Saturdays are the busiest. Fortunately it's also Alexandria, so the people waiting with you are nice. Again I thought the staff was also pleasant.
